Good Morning, to day we have VINTAGE 1960s - PELHAM PUPPETS - HORSE - STRING MARIONETTE PUPPET with ORIGINAL BOX up for sale.
This puppet box is marked "CLOWN"
We found a large quantity of similar puppets in a storage room of a building that was used a toy store in the 1960s / 1970s. I believe that they have been in storage since the 1960s.
The puppets are made of WOOD with cloth accents or clothes. They are controlled by strings attached to a triangular shaped stick.
This puppet stands about 10 inches tall. It appears to have never been used. The puppet does not have any chips or cracks. The graphics are bright and clear. The clothing does not have any stains.
The box may have been opened at some time as some of the strings are wrapped together, or maybe they left the factory this way.
It comes with the original box which looks like it just left the factory in the 1960s. The box DOES NOT have any UPC Codes.
