    About the Collection:
    An amazing collection of Brand New condition pieces from a ground-breaking airline. Place Settings and china serving pieces are all fine bone china manufactured for the airline by Spode, UK. The pattern features a midnight blue band trimmed with an ornate gold decoration. The airline's logo - a crown over two mirrored R's is depicted on all pieces. The reverse (bottom) of each piece is marked with the Regent Air logo as well as Spode logo in red with the notation "fine bone china". Stemware is full lead crystal, hand blown and cut by Atlantis, Portugal. The pieces have weight and feel solid. the cuts are delicate and ornate. Some still have their original manufacturer seal on them, others have been removed. Each piece features the Regent Air logo of a crown over two mirrored R's. Silverware and serving pieces are products of Kirk Stieff and is silver-plate. The nine-piece dining set is adorned with the Regent Air logo as well as the Kirk Steiff logo. Serving pieces all are marked with the Regent Air logo as well as Kirk Stieff, or simply Stieff logos.

    About Regent Air:
    Regent Air was an airline with its headquarters in Westchester, Los Angeles, California.  The airline, founded in October 1982 as Firstair, operated scheduled flights as Regent Air between Newark and Los Angeles. With Boeing 727-100 jetliners with their schedules appearing in the Feb 15 1985 OAG with one round-trip flight a day except on Saturdays being operated between the two cities.
    According to a Regent Air service brochure, its 727 aircraft were configured to carry just 30 passengers in an all first class cabin with statement that “Regent Air is an experience in luxury that has no parallel in travel”. The airline’s aircraft were also available for charter.  The airline offered complimentary limousine as well as connecting helicopter service for their flights.  But fares were 50% higher than their competition’s prices.
