Rare - "S.M.S. Always Reliable" Unlined Zinc Fruit jar lid

Description

As found, untouched, rare unlined zinc fruit jar lid that went on some of the earliest Mason jars.  Some light corrosion and the embossing is somewhat hard to read but it is readable.  Some minor flaking, loss of metal around the edge with a tight, slight separation near the bottom threading for about a half inch but otherwise in very solid condition.  If you need one for that early beehive or other Mason, here it is.
