Narrative:
The Fokker took off from Aubenas with 6300l of water on board to fight a forest fire to the north of Alès. The aircraft descended too low during its mission and crashed into trees.
Probable Cause:
PROBABLE CAUSES:" The accident resulted from a loss of control in a very low height corner.
This loss of control is the result of a too brutal manoeuvre made obligatory by a bad positioning at the beginning of the presentation.
Contributing causes have been: too much work for the captain, different languages between the crew members and operating practices in civil protection that leave too much to improvisation in
the area the poor visibility on the final axis."
