This is your chance to own a rare piece of Air Canada / Trans Canada Air Lines history. This was from a small collection of parts that were collected by the late Fred Prior of Winnipeg, Manitoba, who was an avid life-long aviation enthusiast. It is believed that Fred was given these parts at the time he visited the retired Air Canada Vanguards that were in storage at Montreal Dorval airport. Two of Air Canada's Vickers Vanguards were scrapped at Montreal Dorval in 1973, CF-TKM and CF-TKS so we can reasonably assume that this window came from one of these two aircraft, which were both delivered to the airline in 1961.
My name is Henry Tenby and I have prepared a detailed video that highlights the history and provenance of this Vickers Vanguard window, and this video will remain on YouTube in perpetuity as a tribute to Fred Prior and his collection and salvage of these amazing parts.
