OOAK Custom Doll Repainted and Re-rooted Artist Doll "Yvette" #46 Condition is Pre-owned/Altered. Please inspect all photos carefully before you bid, and please don't bid if you have no intention of paying for this doll. I welcome and am happy to answer any and all questions you may have!
Yvette is a OOAK Custom My Scene Doll repainted and re-rooted by "Deirdre Melchione Ballou. She has been re-rooted with low temperature nylon hair in Midnight Blue. Her face is dusted with a fine mica powder over her light pink blush and she has a star tattoo on her left cheek..... This beauty has large, sleepy blue-violet eyes are accented with neutral and pale pink shadow, dark liner on her upper lids, and dark lashes. She has deep burgundy lips in a matte finish, and her nails are manicured in blue.
A note on my process:
All of my custom pre-owned dolls are scrubbed clean, and I recondition their hair. If I am unable to salvage the hair, I then will do a re-root using either acrylic yarn or high quality nylon doll hair. The face paint is then removed and their new looks are achieved using watercolor pencils, acrylic paints and soft pastels. Matte sealer is applied between each layer of work and when the finished look is achieved, two more layers of sealer are applied before the lips and eyes are glossed. All of the materials I use are the highest grade Artist materials. Each doll is unique, sometimes I do use photo reference to help me achieve the look I want to give the doll, and sometimes I go by my imagination. All of my dolls Re signed, and come with a silver or gold charm bracelet with the words "Made with Love".
One of a Kind Fashion Artist Dolls are meant for adult collectors, not recommended as a doll for children, although her face painting is protected with a sealer, she is a one of a kind creation and a work of art, and should be handled carefully. The painted areas should not be handled, as the oils from our fingers could cause discoloring or staining on the art. Keep hand-painted dolls out of direct sunlight. Please note that with any work of art, there may be some small imperfections. This doll is in very good pre-owned/Up-Cycled, condition, her knees each click twice..
