    Description

You are bidding on a high quality Nomex, hi-heat upgrade gasket for Big Green Egg.  For the ultimate performance in high temp grilling on your Egg.
Please select the appropriate size for your BGE.
Included is enough gasket to re-seal the
    lid & base
    of your Big Green Egg.
    NOTE:
This gasket requires a separate adhesive like 3M Super 77, Permatex red, or Rutland 77.
Please be sure to select the
    correct size option
    when ordering
Typically sold in white, color may vary.
    Installation instructions:
Replace gasket on a completely cooled Big Green Egg. Remove the old gasket with a flat-edged scraper.
Clean the rim of the base and lid with acetone (preferred) or rubbing alcohol.
If necessary, soak any remaining gasket material with acetone and scrape away.
Let dry for at least 30 minutes; the surface must be dry & clean for the new gasket to adhere.
Adhesive option 1 (Super 77): Spray a small amount of spray adhesive like 3M Super 77 around the rim of the base and lid.  Allow this to set for about 2 minutes to become tacky. Press the gasket firmly down onto the rim. Bend the gasket around the rim as you press down, being careful not to let the gasket material to hang over the inside edge of the rim. Do not stretch the gasket. Allow gasket to cure for 24 hours.
Adhesive option 2 (Rultand gasket cement or Permatex red):  Spread a small amount of adhesive on the base and lid.  Work with a little section at a time, as adhesive can dry quickly.  Press to install your new gasket, being careful not to allow the gasket to hang over the inside edge of the rim. Don not stretch the gasket.  Let adhesive dry.  The Rutland adhesive must be heat cured before use.
