The Pioneer AVH-240EX Double-DIN DVD Receiver adds easier source navigation and sound adjustment. It also gives you reliable voice control of your smartphone, a video display for a backup camera, built-in Bluetooth for hands-free calling and wireless audio streaming, and more. It even gives you control over compatible Android devices, displaying metadata such as track, artist, and album name when it is available. Plug your music player into the aux input, or connect your iPod, iPhone, or other compatible device to the USB input. While the car is parked and the parking brake is engaged, you can enjoy video playback from an outboard video player or a USB drive. The AVH-240EX brings your music to life via a 13-band equalizer for customized adjustments to acoustic settings. An assignable input can also connect a rearview camera for ease of backing in and out of parking spots, as well as viewing what is behind you.

Bluetooth Hands-Free-Calling and Audio Streaming
Stay safe and obey local hands-free laws with built-in Bluetooth (HFP). Easily pair a Bluetooth enabled phone to the AVH-240EX without having to go through complicated settings. When a registered Bluetooth device is in close proximity to the receiver, the auto connection function automatically pairs the two units. From hands-free calling, wireless audio streaming (A2DP) with artist, album, and song search, simple pairing, and control audio (AVRCP), Bluetooth® wireless technology has made life in the vehicle much more convenient. The AVH-240EX with Bluetooth also includes better call quality reception using the new Wideband Speech Handsfree Profile 1.6. Nearly doubling the bandwidth of the frequency helps bring call quality similar to FM reception. Other features include the ability to browse music libraries on smartphones wirelessly
Android Music Support
Users of Android devices running operating system 4.0 or later can connect and listen to music stored on their device to the AVH-240EX without the need for an app. The process is made possible using Media Transfer Protocol (MTP). MTP allows the receiver to recognize the Android smartphone as a music storage device. Users can now access music via USB stored on an Android device and operate basic operations like FF, REW, Play, Pause, Random Play, and Repeat. Metadata information such as track, artist, and album name can be displayed
USB Direct Control for iPhone
Pioneer's AVH-240EX is ready to roll with direct connectivity to your iPod or iPhone for music and video via an optional USB interface cable (sold separately) depending on your iOS device. Song, artist, time and album information are beautifully displayed on the 6.2" touchscreen. The system's wired USB connection provides direct digital signal transfer from the device for clean, clear sound while providing 1 amp of current to keep your iPod/iPhone charged
