We use extra packaging to minimize the jostling of donuts in their box. This involves adding extra packing material to press down the clear plastic panel on the top of the box to hold the donuts in place. Consequently, some of the outer coating of the donut may smear on the plastic. During the hot summer months it is not unheard of for the package to get too warm when shipped to places like California, Arizona, Texas, etc. If you live in a hot climate, we would discourage you from purchasing donuts or other pastries during the summer, as temperatures inside shipping trucks can be well above the outside temperature.
