    Description

For all of your grilling, smoking and BBQ needs. Hickory, the king of smoke is one of the best woods for adding smoke flavor to beef, pork, fish, poultry and many wild game meats. Hickory smoked ham and bacon is an American trademark.
You will receive in a 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 11 inch USPS flat rate box of 80 to 88 pieces about 1 by 1 by 5 1/2 inch milled hickory wood that fit wonderfully in the metal smoker boxes that now come in some grill kits. It usually weighs out to about 11 pounds of air dried hickory heartwood. No thick bark or pitch resin knots to deal with on our wood.
Our Smoking wood is professionally harvested from managed forest lands of west central Wisconsin. The trees are not diseased or bug ridden, just selectively thinned to enhance a healthier forest.
For the best and the longest lasting smoke, wrap individual pieces of wood in aluminum foil with the ends open a little. Place several around your charcoal or gas fire and watch the smoke roll. Ashes remain contained in the aluminum foil for easy clean up on gas grills. This method may give you about 10 smokey cookouts from the one box. Same sale is also available in oak, cherry and maple- see my other sales

    * please make note that at times some boxes of wood when received will be more full, or less full appearing or have different weights, due to the amount of moisture in the wood itself, you will also notice that this wood shrinks, an even cracks at times as the moisture leaves it, because of how fresh it is, at other times of the year some boxes may contain a white, or green like powder mildew on the wood, which is natural an simply can be wiped off, that is the main reason we don't "stuff" the boxes full anymore, as some air circulation is best for these grilling sticks. *
