Dried Buzz Buttons/Toothache Plant Flowers (Spilanthes/Acmella oleracea).
Freshly harvested and dried this season- 2021!
These flowers are available in the Lemon Drop variety (solid yellow), the Bullseye variety (yellow with red spot in the center), and as a blend of the two varieties.
Dried Acmella Oleracea (spilanthes) flowers. Also known as Szechuan button, buzz buttons or electric daisies.
Our flowers are always grown using organic methods- no pesticides or chemicals are ever used.
Traditionally, the flowers were used to numb the mouth and are said to work better than many commercial products for toothaches or teething. They also have antibiotic, antifungal and anti- inflammatory properties.
Buzz buttons are wonderful for creating exciting cocktails and drinks that fizz and bubble and create an "electric" sensation! They are super fun to have friends try whole or sprinkled on a salad or other dish.
Dried flowers will last 2-3 years in an airtight container! They can be rehydrated in water or in your beverage of choice, and will have the same electric effect as fresh flowers.
Dried flowers are also great for making tinctures and tonics.
