Here's a tip folks, the rule of thumb on length of oar is 1-1/2 times the width of the boat plus 6" or roundup to the nearest foot. If your boat 48" wide the oar is generally 72" long. This is a general recommendation for rowing comfortably. This is not a hard set rule its a guideline. (Shaft Diameter 1 1/2")
